We welcome those to our church from other countries and we look forward to worshipping together.
About Us
We are located in a new housing area in Nishi-Ku, Kobe.
The Hasetani River runs near our church and we enjoy this country atmosphere.
We would like to help everyone’s life be filled with joy, peace, and smiles as we try to live our lives based on the true teachings of the Bible.
We gather here to worship our Lord every Sunday.
A missionary couple from the USA（Baptist International Missions,Inc：BIMI）started our church 22 years ago and we are thankful to God that we are still sharing the Gospel with people in this area of Japan.
1997
We started our church by renting a room to use only on Sunday mornings.
Missionaries Rev. and Mrs. Burchell worked with Pastor and Mrs. Murakami when our church began.
Soon, we thought the room was too small so we were led to build our own church building.
2001
Our church building was completed.
More members were added to our church.
Church Pastor
About twenty years ago when I was a college student, I started going to church.
I was able to hear about the wonderful grace of Jesus from the Bible.
I am not a philosopher or a professor who can give a lecture about religions, but I simply want to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ, so that I can be a tool to spread the Good News of Jesus to people here in Japan.
It is a great privilege for me to preach from the Bible at this church.
I pray that I will be used for God’s glory in His ministry.
Satoshi Murakami
★ Became a Christian when he was a college student.
★ Graduated from Kansai Independent Baptist Seminary
★ Involved in pioneer evangelism ministry to start a new church with a missionary couple at Gakuen Toshi, Kobe Nishi-Ku.
★ Became the pastor at Grace Kobe Baptist Church.
Worship service
SUNDAY: We start with Sunday School. We have classes for all ages.
From 11:00am we start our first worship service.
We have music from our choir and instruments during worship time.
We hear God’s Word proclaimed by a message from the Bible.
If it is your first time to come to our church, we recommend that you join us by attending our first worship service.
The messages from the Bible are easy to understand even for new visitors.
We are sure you will enjoy this time together with our Lord.
The first worship service will end around noon.
Our church nursery is available, so please don’t hesitate to ask us if you need to use it.

We have various meetings for men, women, youth, and junior/senior high school students. Also from 10:00 am Sunday morning there is Sunday School for children.
We are truly thankful to God that we have His Truth written in the BIBLE.

If you need help to find our church the first time, we can also pick you up. Please call our church by 5:00pm on Saturday to ask for directions or make an appointment to be picked up.
